We are surrounded by bacteria and viruses of different sorts. Some of them are good for us while a lot others are lethal.

These harmful bacteria and viruses can cause hundreds of diseases, some of which are non-curable, and the person suffering from it has to stay on bed for the rest of his life, which is usually a couple of days. Here is a list of 10 most dangerous diseases that won’t take more than 24 hours to restrict the functioning of your body parts and KILL you!

A few South Asian and African countries might be well-known to the fact that dengue is a lethal disease and is responsible for the death of a large population every year.

Caused due to dengue virus carried by mosquito, the symptoms of the disease include fever of up to 106 degrees, along with destruction of platelets. The deterioration of platelets at such a high pace cause internal bleeding and death in 24 hours, if not treated.

Besides rigorous work to formulate a vaccine to cure dengue, major work is done in preventing mosquitoes.

Ebola virus, which can spread through any contact with an infected person, has been a dreadful disease. Even despite of keeping the infected person fully intact, the virus did spread to masses and traveled throughout the world. What this disease does is ruptures the White Blood Cells of the body and hence prevents clotting of blood. This causes rigorous bleeding both inside the body and on the outside through eyes, nose, rectum, etc.

There have been a lot of tries to cure this virus but it doesn’t leave the body so easily and hence causes death.

Bubonic Plague is a type of bacterial infection that can spread through fleas and rodents. The disease affects in a ruthless manner when the pustules on the body get inflamed to a large extent. These are called buboes, and hence the name of the disease. The person suffering from this disease usually faces seizures and necrosis.

Necrosis can cause rotting of the limbs of the infected person, and the process is extremely painful.

This virus was first detected in 1962 in California. It was recently in 2014 in America that the virus got spread throughout and caused respiratory diseases to the people.

The respiratory system and the motor system of the body is affected by the virus, that holds the tendency to kill a person within a few hours of infection.

Spread through contaminated food and water, this kind of bacteria causing disease directly targets small intestine. This causes excessive dehydration and diarrhea. There can be a loss of as much as 1 liter of water per hour from the body causing thickening of blood and failure of organs within a few hours of the disease.

There are antibiotics and vaccines of this disease, but yet due to lack of awareness and reach, a large population dies of the disease every year.

This is a disease that resists the antibiotics, and hence is incurable. Pertaining in a lot of hospitals in the Western countries, the bacterium enters the body through wounds and attacks the respiratory system.

The attack is so severe that lungs start rotting up and gradually, the patient gets asphyxiated.

Commonly known as getting a stroke, this disease basically affects the circulation of blood to the brain and hence cutting the supply of oxygen and nutrients. A stroke can be fatal as it causes the death of numerous brain cells.

This can cause dizziness, paralysis, and permanent numbness in the body, and can also cause death if not treated properly in time.

Caused by a protozoan Trypanosoma cruzi, the parasite when enters the body, attacks the heart muscle and demolishes the cardiovascular system of the body.

This can cause sudden death syndrome due to the cardiac arrest and no proper treatment being available at the time of arrest.

Though this disease can be prevented by vaccines, it still remains a cause of a large number of deaths especially in UK and Ireland. Usually called meningitis, this disease is caused by a bacterium that attacks the brain membrane after entering the bloodstream. The brain starts swelling and eventually ruptures the blood vessels.

Even those victims that are treated have a high chance of suffering from a permanent brain damage.

Attacking the body tissues, this disease is also called flesh-eating disease. The toxins released in the body by the bacteria that enters through open wounds that start rotting various body tissues. The disease often gets penetrated into the deep layers of the skin, rupturing major portion of it.

Amputation remains the only option to stop the growth of the disease.
