Over the past few days, European countries have recorded a slight, if little, decline in the number of new infections with the emerging coronavirus, which is exactly what happened in Germany.
Data from the Robert Koch Institute for Infectious Diseases said on Monday that the number of confirmed cases of the coronavirus had increased by 3677 during the past 24 hours, in the fourth consecutive decline in the daily rate of infection with new cases.
The number of new cases was less than the cases reported Sunday in Germany, and it reached 5936 cases.
With the new toll announced Monday, the total number of infections nationwide rises to 95,391.
